The C2PA credential and other supported metadata come off the copy.
Remove the AI records platforms read, such as Content Credentials, AI tags and prompts, before you upload. It can't change pixel detectors or SynthID.
Supported embedded metadata through a full image clean.
You can remove the metadata part. Pixel detection is different.
Platforms spot AI images in two ways. They read metadata like C2PA Content Credentials and IPTC AI tags, and some also run their own visual classifiers.
This tool handles the first one. It makes a clean copy of the image without its supported metadata, so the file no longer carries the tags a platform reads.
It does not change how the image looks, so it cannot change what a visual detector or an invisible watermark like SynthID says.
| Metadata (C2PA, IPTC AI tags, prompts) | Removed by this tool |
|---|---|
| Invisible watermark (SynthID) | Not changed: use the SynthID removal flow |
| Pixel-based AI detectors | Not changed: they look at the image itself |
Check, clean, check again.
Run the AI metadata checker to see what the file carries.
Upload here and download the copy without supported metadata.
Confirm the AI tags are gone before you upload it.
Be clear about the limits before you rely on it.
| Signal | Example | Removed here |
|---|---|---|
| C2PA Content Credentials | From ChatGPT, Firefly, Photoshop. | Yes |
| IPTC AI tag | trainedAlgorithmicMedia in XMP. | Yes |
| PNG prompt text | Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI records. | Yes |
| Invisible watermark | Google SynthID. | No. Lives in the pixels. |
| Visual AI classifier | A platform’s own model. | No. Judges how the image looks. |
Follow each platform’s disclosure rules. Removing metadata does not change what you are required to disclose.
JPG, PNG and WebP still images. Up to 30 files, 15 MB each. Images up to 50 megapixels; animated PNG and WebP are not supported. Free, no account.
What a clean copy changes, file by file.
The C2PA credential and other supported metadata come off the copy.
The composite AI source tag comes off. The edit itself is still visible in the picture.
Metadata comes off, but SynthID stays in the pixels. This tool cannot change that.
Nothing to remove. You can still download a checked copy.
Answers about results, privacy and limits.
They read the C2PA and IPTC tags this removes, but they can still label content from invisible watermarks or other signals, and their disclosure rules apply.
No. Detectors analyse the pixels, which this does not change.
The copy is re-encoded. For no re-encoding, use the C2PA remover or the AI-only metadata remover.
No. SynthID is part of the pixels, not the metadata, so no metadata tool can remove it. Use the SynthID removal flow on the homepage for that.
It removes the C2PA and IPTC signals Meta reads. Meta can still label content based on other signals or your own disclosure.
No. The platform keeps its own copy. Delete the post and upload a cleaned copy if that fits its rules.
No. Visual detectors look at the pixels, which this tool does not change.
Yes. It is free, with no account, credits or trial. The file and batch limits are shown on the upload box.
No. Files are read in your browser. Save your results before you clear the batch or leave the page.
Free, in your browser, with the limits stated plainly.
