What does an AI-only metadata remover do?
It removes the AI fields and leaves the rest of the record.
A full clean wipes everything, including useful camera settings and credits. Sometimes you only want the AI generation fields gone.
This tool removes recognized prompt and generation records in PNG text, and explicit generation fields in readable XMP. Everything it cannot clearly identify as AI is kept.
It is deliberately conservative. Content Credentials are kept too; use the C2PA remover if they need to go.

Does it remove C2PA Content Credentials?
No, by design. Use the AI metadata remover to remove C2PA and every other record in one step.
Does it reduce quality?
No. The image data is not re-encoded.
Does this remove SynthID or other invisible watermarks?
No. SynthID is part of the pixels, not the metadata, so no metadata tool can remove it. Use the SynthID removal flow on the homepage for that.
How do I check it worked?
Run the copy through the AI metadata checker. Prompt and generation fields should be gone.
Why keep Content Credentials?
They are a separate, signed record. Removing them is a different decision, so it has its own tool.
Will this stop an AI label?
It removes AI fields platforms may read. A C2PA credential or a pixel watermark can still trigger a label.
Is every AI field guaranteed to be removed?
No. It removes the fields it recognizes. Check the result with the AI metadata checker.
